Overview
Editify (“the Extension”) is a browser extension that lets you edit images on webpages you visit—crop, resize, rotate, adjust appearance, change format, and save or copy the result. This policy describes how the Extension handles information.

Data processing (on your device)
The Extension runs inside your browser. When you choose to edit an image—for example by right‑clicking an image and selecting Edit with Editify, using Pick image on page, or Upload image—the Extension may:

Load that image (or file you selected) into the editor
Show an editing panel on the current page
Optionally replace an image on the page only when you use Replace on page and the Extension can match the original image on that tab
Image editing (canvas operations, export) is performed locally in your browser. We do not operate a server that receives your images for this core editing workflow as described in the public listing.

Local storage
The Extension may use Chrome’s local storage (chrome.storage.local) to remember small preferences, such as light or dark theme for the editor. This data stays on your device and is not used to identify you across websites.

Clipboard
If you use Copy, the Extension writes the exported image to your system clipboard so you can paste it elsewhere. This happens only when you trigger that action.

Permissions (why they exist)
Context menus — To offer Edit with Editify on images.
Host / site access — So the editor can appear on sites you use and, when needed, load image data for editing; broad patterns are used because users may edit images on many different sites.
Scripting / active tab — To inject the editor when you start an action from the Extension.
Storage — For optional UI preferences (e.g. theme).
Clipboard — For the Copy feature only.
Data we do not collect (as shipped)
Unless you add separate services later and update this policy, the Extension does not:

Sell or rent your personal information
Use your images for advertising or unrelated profiling
Log your browsing history or all page content
Collect passwords, payment details, or health data through the Extension
Third parties
The Extension does not embed third‑party analytics or ads in the version described by this policy. If you add analytics, accounts, or cloud processing in the future, you must update this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures before publishing that version.

Children’s privacy
The Extension is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes
We may update this policy when the Extension changes. The Last updated date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
